Rare Large Hamms Scena A Rama Motion Beer Sign Clock

Auction is for a rare large hamm's scena a rama motion beer sign clock! Measures approx. 66 wide 5 deep and 19 tall. Very awesome hsape for the age (late 1960s). No breaks, cracks, or major damage that i oculd detect. Lights up with the exception of (2) bulbs (behind scene) that i did not get around to changing. Clock works great, but may run a teensy bit slow and could probably use a light lube. I replaced the motor that operates the scene and it works great. I left the sign no all this week with no problems. I did notice that instead of the scene revolving in 5 minutes that it takes about 10 minutes, but this in on way affects the motion.

The water still flows beautifully, while the fire crackles and smkoe rises as it should. Very mesmerizing.

I did notice that the scene seems to have a slight hesitation as the scene spins, but this shouldn't alarm anyone. You may be able re-oil the bearings or adjust the rollers (might have a teensy bit of slack from sitting? ) and make it 100% smooth. When i first aquired this the bearings hda some dust/grime build up and wouldn't spin freely, so there may still be some build-up. I will also include teh original motor. You may be able to get it going again. The scene orll itself is in awesome shape and is still very colorful. I did not notice any fading.

There are a couple of small dimples on the bottom edge, but these cannot be seen unless the sign is hinged open. When i changed hte motor i lubed the bearings and cleaned the back of the sign panels. The scene itself could use a light cleaning, but i will leave this ot the new owner (it looks fine as-is). The outside of sign looks great. The roof is free of damage, as is rest of the plastic.

The roof/plastic frame has some water/dull spots, but this should clean easily (you might eb able to use some amourall-like product to bring back some lustre). Beyond soem light cleaning you will have no worries. I will ship this via ups, to the cont. sUa only!

I estimate shipping costs to be approx. $140-200, depending on your location adn final weight of the package (figured at end of auction). The auction states a flat-rate of $175, but it should be lower and possibly a little higher. Do not send payment until i send you a revised invoice. The roof panels will be boxed seperately to insuer safe delivery.

If you choose to have the sign shipped, then payment must be made with paypal only. You can also pick this sign up ro i will meet the winner within 150-200 miles from my location. The sign is located in clinton, illinois which is about 2-3 hours from teh st. Louis, chicago, adn indianapolis areas. If we arrange a meet, oyu will be responsible for my gas and time! I estimate that if i was to drive 200 miles i would need around 70-100 bucks. If you choose this method then the winning bidding will be responsible for sending the finalized driving costs via paypal once the auction is over. The sign will have to be paid for with cash at the meet. If you p/u the sign from my location there will be no additional charges, but you will need to pay in cash or use your credit card with my in-store terminal. This may be alllowing the scene roll slip a little though i am not for sure. Still a great looking sign!
